Meet Meet Dr. Livesay!
Hello! I’m Dr. Kathryn Livesay. I’m a native Floridian having grown up in the Wesley Chapel area. Florida is home so I have stayed in-state for my education and have put down roots in Hernando County. While pursuing my Bachelors degree at the University of Florida, a professor quoted Helen Keller saying “Vision loss separates us from things, while hearing loss separates us from people.” This quote planted the seed to investigate the field of Audiology. I was fortunate to have a connection to a Tampa Bay Audiologist and spent my summer shadowing her in clinic. That summer I spent over 100 hours observing her interactions with patients with hearing loss and the extraordinary benefit hearing aid technology brought to their lives. Since then, I’ve been hooked! I love the difference hearing technology can afford patients, and I am excited to be here at Gardner Audiology where we are able to help nearly every patient that walks through the door. One of my special interests in Audiology is providing support to cochlear implant candidates and implanted patients. In my free time, I enjoy walking my dogs with my husband, hosting weekly family dinners with my parents and my mother-in-law, and exploring this beautiful state we call home. I look forward to meeting you in one of our Hernando or Citrus county offices.
