September 2026 Update
Unitron, part of the Sonova Group, is a Canadian company established in 1964. Their headquarters is in the Waterloo region of Canada. Unitron supports the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides, as well as Hear the World Foundation, providing disadvantaged children access to sustainable audiological care and speech therapy.
In July 2026, Unitron announced the newest addition to the Smile platform, the Moxi S-RX. They report it to be powered by SoundSonic360 DNN technology, keeping speech clear—multiple speakers, multiple directions. This is reputably an improvement in real-time speech and noise separation from their previous model, the Moxi S-R. They claim rechargeable battery life up to 56 hours.
The Stride V-UP and V-PR are behind the ear hearing aids for those with severe hearing loss. They also offer the Insera line, which is a custom in the canal style hearing aid. It is offered in a rechargeable option that is Bluetooth compatible and a smaller non-Bluetooth, changeable battery option.
Unitron utilizes a type of Bluetooth (Classic) that allows their hearing aids to connect to almost all Android phone models, as well as iPhones.
