Our field study program was created to allow our patients an opportunity to trial the newest in hearing technology and experience the benefits of better hearing in exchange for providing unbiased feedback which is shared with the hearing aid manufacturers.
Since Starkey has introduced the Edge AI platform, we have collected data from over 50 individuals who were provided with a free loan of the Starkey Edge AI device in exchange for sharing their opinions with us.
The new Edge AI platform houses Starkey’s latest innovations in Artificial Intelligence, boasting an impressive 52-hour battery life and the enhanced “Edge mode” feature, which was first introduced in the Genesis line. Starkey reports the Edge AI scans and automatically adapts to soundscapes, enhancing speech and reducing noise in real time, resulting in 30% better speech identification and reduced listening effort and fatigue.
But what do our patients have to say?
On average, our patients noted a >50% improvement in group settings and while watching television, as compared to their current hearing aids. Overall, in all listening environments, our patients noted a 55% improvement when wearing Starkey Edge AI devices as compared to their current hearing aids.
Today consumers have more control than ever in their hearing healthcare journey. Most prescription fit hearing aids are Bluetooth compatible, allowing phone connectivity for streaming and app-based controls. The MyStarkey app allows users to quickly and easily make real time adjustments to volume and more. Roughly 74% of patients utilized some app-based functionality while wearing the Edge AI hearing aids.
