We service and repair all Starkey hearing aids at our Zephyrhills office, as well as our other 7 locations. Gardner Audiology has repair parts, as well as wax filters and domes in all of our offices. There are many reasons why your hearing aid might not be working. Your hearing aid might be plugged with wax. Sometimes oils or hair gels/spray can clog up the microphone openings. I have had patients come in saying their hearing aids were not charging, and it was because they had the charger plugged into an outlet controlled by a light switch, and someone had flipped the switch off! Occasionally the speaker/receiver of the hearing aid goes bad, and we have replacements ready to repair this in our office.
If after exhausting all our resources we are unable to repair your hearing aid in the office, we can facilitate sending it to the manufacturer to repair it. We are also able to adjust or reprogram your Starkey hearing aids if you are not hearing well, or your hearing has changed.
