You hear the words “unbundled” and “bundled” thrown around a lot lately, but what does it actually mean? Here at Gardner Audiology, we are primarily a “semi-unbundled” practice, though we do offer the option to upgrade to a bundled option.
Unbundled
- Lower up-front costs
- Pay for services as you move forward
Semi-Unbundled (Gardner Audiology)
- Lower up-front costs
- One covered visit a year (while in manufacturer warranty) which includes your annual hearing screening and servicing of Hearing aid/s
- Pay for services outside of annual visit
Bundled
- Higher up-front costs
- All services are included for the duration of the manufacturer warranty, including but not limited to adjustments and hearing aid service appointments
- Included services only valid where devices were purchased
By offering options, you as the patient can choose which plan is best for you. Our pricing is transparent, and we want to be transparent about our services as well.
If you are a seasonal/snowbird resident, generally choosing the Semi-Unbundled option is best. Should you need services when you are at your other home, you will pay that providers costs for their services without feeling like you “paid for something you are not/cannot use” had you purchased bundled. But remember, you will be charged office visit and service fees outside of your annual visit with Gardner Audiology as well.
If you like having all your visits covered and don’t want to feel you can only come into the office once a year, bundled may be the best option for you. Again, bundled services are only applicable with Gardner Audiology.
With Gardner Audiology it’s about having choices. You will have the option to accept or decline bundled services at purchase; however, you may change your mind up through your 90 day follow up period.

** Please note, these options are only available for hearing aids purchased through the Gardner Audiology Field Study. If you purchase your hearing aids through a Third-Party Insurance Provider, we must follow their guidelines/contract.
