Hearing aids manufactured by Starkey are well-known for their resistance to moisture and ability to withstand daily wear and tear. This is a big reason we feel comfortable recommending them to our patients. We encourage our patients to wear their hearing aids full-time and look for products that will be durable. However, even the best hearing aids do require some maintenance over time.
Typically repairs and maintenance can be completed in the office. Often, patients leave with working hearing aids the same day. For more significant issues, such as internal or circuit problems, the hearing aids may need to be sent out to the manufacturer for repair. Starkey is a great company to work with and typically gets repairs sent back quickly!
The cost for parts or manufacturer repair is usually covered under your manufacturer repair warranty even if you did not purchase your hearing aids from us. The only cost is a small office visit fee.
