Hi. I am Dr. Joshlyn Jacob with Gardner Audiology. At Gardner, we work with all 6 main manufacturers, including Phonak. Each manufacturer has its own niche. Phonak excels with their universal connectivity, better speech understanding, and reduced listening effort.
There are several generations of hearing aids from their Marvel line to their newest that just released, Infinio. They also have a pediatric line, called Sky. Each generation improves on crisp but natural sound quality and dynamic noise canceling.
Phonak hearing aids offer classic Bluetooth compatibility meaning their hearing aids are compatible with Apple and Android phones. Phonak is known as one of the most suited for Android phone users because of its “made for all” Bluetooth connectivity. Of the six major hearing aid manufacturers, Phonak hearing aids will connect with almost all Android phones.
Phonak offers accessories such as Roger for patients who seem to have difficulty with speech in noise even while wearing hearing aids. Roger offers wireless technology to maintain speech intelligibility and understanding while overcoming both distance and noise. The Roger Clip-On Mic is the smallest Roger microphone. It can easily be clipped on to clothes or worn around the neck of the speaker. It transmits sound wirelessly to your hearing aids.
If you would like to see if Phonak is a good fit for you, please schedule an appointment for a hearing test and consult at one of our 10 Tampa Bay locations. Call 1-727-977-5222 and/or mail info@gardneraudiology.com.
