Medicare coverage for hearing aids – What you need to know during open enrollment

If you are a Medicare recipient, there are a lot of considerations to make when choosing coverage.

Medicare Advantage plans provide Medicare benefits through a private sector. These plans often have additional benefits, such as discounted gym memberships, prescription drug coverage, and hearing aid benefits or discounts.

Medicare Advantage plans offered through Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, United Healthcare, Ultimate Health Plans, Optimum Health, Freedom Health and Humana Medicare all offer hearing aid discounts. Some premium or dual (Medicare/Medicaid combined) plans also offer funded hearing aid benefits. If hearing coverage is important to you, ask your insurance agent to provide you with the hearing aid coverage for all plan levels before choosing a plan. Check with us to verify the hearing coverage of the plan you are considering.

We’re proud to be in-network providers for all Medicare Advantage plans! Our insurance team will confirm your coverage, and our doctors will take the time to discuss your lifestyle and budget to determine which hearing aid is best for you.
