Depending on the type of hearing loss you have, or if one ear has better hearing than the other, there may be different tests performed for each patient. Believe it or not, sometimes one ear can “help” the other ear to hear better! Although some patients may have a slightly longer hearing test, it is done to ensure that results are accurate. Once we have accurate results, the next steps can be planned. Sometimes the next step would be to look into hearing aids, and other times it may be recommended to have a medical evaluation done.
