We’re grateful to our patients who take the time to write such thoughtful and poignant journeys to better hearing health. We ask patients if they are willing to share their experience so that others may be able to relate to what they’re going through. The average person waits 7-10 years before getting help for their hearing. If these words resonate with you, we invite you to come experience the difference at Gardner Audiology! I’m 83 years old, a Vietnam Vet, and a recent widow after a 52-year marriage. I’m a former 3x elected public servant. Due to an indoor shooting range accident I have a severe hearing loss.
After a year and 10 visits to the VA audiology clinic I still didn’t have suitable settings for my hearing aids.
I called a friend who happens to be a US Congressman. After a couple of conversations with the VA, the Director of Community Services arranged a referral for me to go to Gardner Audiology.
On my first visit, I was greeted by a professional but very friendly staff. I relayed my situation to the Doctor who listened very carefully.
By the end of my first appointment with Dr. Livesay, she had the settings of my hearing aids spot-on.
I left with the best hearing possible considering my severe loss. This is so important to a senior for safety as well as socialization.
I can’t begin to say thank you enough to Gardner Audiology, Dr. Kathryn Livesay, and her staff.
With deepest appreciation,
John Hofstadter
