Starkey is a leading name in hearing aid technology, and Gardner Audiology is proud to offer progressional care for these devices. At our Palm Harbor office, as well as several other locations throughout the Tampa Bay area, we provide in-office cleaning, maintenance, and repair services for Starkey hearing aids.
If you Starkey hearing aids aren’t performing like they once did, a variety of common issues could be the cause. Debris such as earwax can clog filters, receiver wires may become worn or damaged, and everyday products like hairspray can block microphone openings. In addition, moisture can collect inside the device- especially in Florida’s hot and humid climate- even though these hearing aids are built with moisture resistance.
One helpful feature of Starkey hearing aids is their built-in diagnostic technology, which allows our providers and staff to run system checks and identify certain performance or sound quality concerns. These insights help us determine the best course of action quickly and efficiently.
In many situations, a thorough in-office cleaning and inspection can restore proper function. If the issue persists, we may recommend sending the hearing aid to the manufacturer for more extensive repairs. Before proceeding, we’ll review your warranty coverage and provide a clear, upfront estimate for any repair services.
Gardner Audiology is dedicated to helping members of our community enjoy better hearing.
