New Oticon “Verit” hearing aids in Spring Hill, FL

While these days rechargeable devices have taken the lead as the most popular, we still have some patients that prefer a manual battery operated hearing aid for situations like hurricanes, 24 hour use for safety if living alone, or if living situations don’t always guarantee access to electricity. Many long-term hearing aid users also like to “keep what they know” and prefer battery operated models for that reason.

Many manufacturers are not as consistently offering battery operated models and therefore, sometimes patients are forced to choose between current technology and manual battery functionality. Well, fear not! Oticon recently released their newest battery-operated hearing aid called the Oticon Verit in their most recent technology platform – Intent. The Oticon Verit has many of the benefits of Intent technology, such as improved noise reduction capability, sudden sound management (think dogs barking), more wind handling capability, etc. along with continued ability to connect with Bluetooth and to add telecoil programs.

One thing to be aware of when comparing the Verit to the rechargeable Intent hearing aid, is that it does not have the 4D motion sensor technology touted in all of the Intent literature. Unfortunately, it was not possible due to size and space restrictions. The Verit is also different from the Intent rechargeable hearing aid in body style, which was kept similar to the previous manual battery generation the Oticon Real. This means the hearing aid is a tiny bit smaller, not as bulky, and has a rocker switch button on the back of each hearing aid.

The Oticon Verit line provides hearing aids in 3 styles – miniRITE, miniBTE, and a BTE. Giving Audiologists and patients a wide range of options dependent on the severity of the hearing loss. The Verit hearing aids come on many skin and hair colors but also includes a beautiful Sky-Blue hearing aid color.

This new line of hearing aids shows Oticon’s commitment to serving patients with all different lifestyle and battery preferences, without sacrificing technological improvement! Our team at Gardner Audiology are excited to see how patients react to this newest model release! If you are interested in learning more about this product, please give one of our 8 Tampa Bay offices a call at 800-277-1182 to schedule an appointment or book online!
