Don’t Sweat it! Beat the heat with Redux Treatment for your hearing aids!

Redux treatment is an added service we offer at most of our locations and has many great benefits! Living in Florida, we often deal with afternoon thunderstorms, sweating, and humidity; all of which can cause moisture in the hearing aids which can cause the devices to “cut out”.

Redux treatment is quick and easy; the treatment on your hearing aids is completed in less than 10 minutes and leaves your hearing aid fully functional. Moisture is extracted through heat and pressure, which allows for optimal performance of the hearing aids and reduces the chances of unexpected hearing aid failure (and less trips to the audiology clinic!). We typically recommend Redux treatment in conjunction with a service visit as it provides increased sound quality after the treatment is performed. Another great feature of the Redux treatment is that it is completely safe for all hearing aids! This includes battery operated hearing aids, rechargeable hearing aids RICs, and ITEs (fun fact: you can even do Redux treatment on your airpods!)

If you think this is something your hearing aids might need, contact your nearest Gardner Audiology location to discuss this treatment with our highly trained staff and take advantage of the wonderful benefits Redux treatment has to offer.
