When Widex released the Widex Moment, it was proclaimed to be the ‘hearing aid that doesn’t sound like a hearing aid.’ The Moment has a natural sound quality many patients like. It comes in 3 different size behind-the-ear options including one of the smallest available rechargeable hearing aids and a very small traditional battery hearing aid. It is also offered in several custom in-the-ear options as well. Widex has long been known for having one of the most water and dust tight hearing aids, helping with longevity and durability.
Some of the models are smartphone compatible and offer audio streaming depending on your cellphone. The app allows you to adjust volume, programs, and more! The smaller hearing aid options can still be adjusted by an app, but won’t allow you to stream audio from your smartphone.
One limitation we have seen from Widex in the past is their ability to manage whistling/feedback in their hearing aids depending on the patient’s hearing loss. This is something to keep in mind as you may need custom earmolds to help prevent this from happening.
