In Tampa Bay Starkey Hearing Aid Users Thrive with a Futuristic Telehealth Feature

Starkey, the only global hearing aid manufacturer in Americahas released a remote app called Thrive Hearing Control. Depending on what type of hearing aids you have, you may be able to connect to the app and begin exploring all of its features!

One of the most convenient features of the Thrive app is that it can act as a remote control on your smart phone. This means that any volume adjustments or program changes can be made on your hearing aid using your phone. You can even play around with the sound equalizer and see what settings you do or don’t like. If you find that you like a certain sound in a certain environment, we can copy those settings into your hearing aid at your next appointment! If you can’t make it in for an appointment, you can request the changes through the Hearing Care Anywhere feature of the Thrive app. Your audiologist will receive the request, and can send the new settings back to your hearing aids!

The Thrive app also has several features that are helpful for day-to-day activities. If you’re worried about falls, whether it be you or a loved one, you can set the app to notify a few emergency contacts if you’ve fallen. You can set reminders – what to buy at the store, errands that need to be run, calls to be made, etc. By setting a date and time for each reminder in the app, your hearing aids can let you know when it’s time to do something. If you have any accessories – remote mic, TV streamer, etc. – you can even control those within the Thrive app! Isn’t it convenient to have everything in one place!?
