Tampa Bay Hearing Aid Providers for Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance –overview of hearing aid coverage

If you have a Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance plan, you may have hearing aid benefits. Blue Cross Blue Shield plans are nationwide, and benefits depend on your individual policy.

The Gardner Audiology Doctors are in-network with not only Florida Blue, but we’re a preferred in-network provider for all Blue Cross Blue Shield contracts! The amount of benefit will depend on what type of plan you have. If your health insurance is through your employer, benefits are dependent on the individual plan. We’ve seen patients have full coverage towards hearing aids with these plans, though sometimes you must meet a deductible first.

Federal BCBS plans have a $2,500 total benefit for hearing aids, which is available every five years. Medicare Advantage plans by Blue Cross Blue Shield (or BCBS), often have a hearing aid benefit that ranges from a discount to a funded benefit of $500 to $2,500 per hearing aid.

Retiree plans through Blue Cross Blue Shield have coverage through your union or former employer. Many times, these plans have full coverage for hearing aids.

We understand this process can be confusing, and we can help. We invite you to make an appointment with our practice. Your first visit is complimentary, and our team will verify and review your benefits with you. Contact Gardner Audiology at (800) 277-1182 or email info@gardneraudiology.com
