Phonak is one of the 6 major worldwide hearing aid manufacturers. Last fall, they introduced an update to their Infinio line of hearing aids. This new product is called Infinio Ultra. Per Phonak, the primary improvements are as follows:
- Improved AI and Processing. The chip assesses more data resulting in faster and more accurate adjustments to your environment.
- In the Sphere models, the dedicated DEEPSONIC chip offers improved separation of speech from noise.
- Improved battery life. This is especially important in the Sphere models, where in the spheric mode, the battery drain is higher.
- Universal Bluetooth pairing for one step app connection.
Standard Infinio’s can be upgraded through a firmware update performed in office. The new Ultra Sphere includes a hardware upgrade with the extra chip; therefore, it is a separate new hearing aid, and the previous generation cannot be upgraded.
The other more recent development is the release of the custom rechargeable Virto Infinio hearing aids.
