In August of 2022, Phonak (Swiss hearing aid manufacturer) launched the Lumity Hearing Aid, and recently expanded the model offerings of this product. Phonak described the Lumity as delivering “new speech enhancement and directional microphone features that aim to deliver better speech clarity—especially in background noise.” While all of the major manufacturers offer iPhone friendly hearing aids, Phonak products utilize a type of Bluetooth that is very Android friendly, making it the only one of the 6 major worldwide hearing aid manufacturers that will connect with almost all Android phones.
The Lumity is now available in Phonak’s well known power version hearing aid, the Naida, for those who have very severe hearing losses. They have also launched the pediatric friendly model, Sky Lumity. These new products even offer some new fun color options!
