Bart Baker, formerly the audiologist with Farrior Ear Clinic in Tampa, has joined Gardner Audiology. He will be treating our patients in St. Petersburg.
Bart is originally from Lexington, Missouri and has been a resident of St. Petersburg, Florida since age 3. His hobbies include fishing and working in the yard. He’s married with a sixteen year old daughter. Prior to his career in audiology he served as an electronics technician the U.S Coast Guard, stationed in Mayport, FL. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida he worked with developmentally disabled adults at the residential facility and sheltered workshop at Pinellas Association for Retarded Children (PARC) in St. Petersburg, and then as a Vocational Rehabilitation counselor for the Florida Department of Labor. He earned his master’s degree in Audiology from the University of South Florida in 1992. After graduating, he worked with Jay Farrior M.D. at the Farrior Ear Clinic in Tampa from 1992 to 2015. He is a member of the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA), the American Academy of Audiology, and the Florida Academy of Audiology. Bart is currently enrolled in the AuD (doctor of audiology) distance learning program at the University of Florida.
