Her New Hearing Aids Upgraded Quality of Life in Zephyrhills, Florida

RW has been a patient at Gardner Audiology for a number of years. She has longstanding genetic hearing loss in both ears. She has been wearing an older model of behind the ear hearing aid. I upgraded her to wireless Starkey Wi110 RIC hearing aids. When I fit her with these new aids she immediately broke into a big grin and said she could hear me much better. Three hours later she sent me a message stating she was so excited because she felt like she was hearing in 3D! One week later she came in for follow up and said she went to a very noisy store and was able to understand everyone who spoke to her. She has never been able to do this before. She said her family is thrilled because she understands them much better. She is back to being her old extraverted self!! Hearing loss is very isolating. If you know that you are not going to be able to communicate in certain situations, you stop putting yourself in those situations. I am very happy to see RW enjoying social and family situations again!
