Live Speech Mapping is recommended by Consumer Reports after they discovered that a high percentage of hearing aids are either over fit with too much sound or under fit with inadequate amplification. This can be avoided if a hearing aid is fitted aid is fitted with Live Speech Mapping. All Audiologists and hearing aid specialists use computers to fit new hearing aids but less than 50% of them verify the computer fitting with live speech mapping.
All of Gardner Audiology’s hearing aid patients are fitted with Live Speech Mapping and we also offer it with a refitting service to consumers who acquired their hearing aids from an outside source. For instance, we refit hearing aids for Veterans and those who received inadequate professional care when they purchased mail order hearing aids.
