Gardner Audiology Dizzy & Balance Assistance

As we age, the risk of falling becomes more prevalent. More than one in three people over the age of 65 falls each year. Dizziness and balance problems can have many potential causes. Sometimes, it can be related to the inner ear. Other potential risk factors include vision, medication, or certain diseases such as diabetes or heart disease. A complete and thorough evaluation is important to rule out any underlying causes. Diagnosing balance problems and fall prevention services are an important aspect of audiology. At Gardner Audiology, we begin with a thorough case history, a complete hearing evaluation, and have the equipment to perform a balance evaluation utilizing videonystagmography (VNG).
