Hearing aid benefits are available to some Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance policy holders through the Select and Choice programs. The two technology levels offered are the Flyte 770 advanced and the 990 premium levels. Both levels in the wireless version are smartphone compatible. They come with a 45-day trial period and 3-year manufacturer warranty and a 3-year loss or damage warranty.
For people with mild moderate hearing loss the advanced technology level Flyte770 allows adequate range of flexibility in programming and fine tuning to a patient’s hearing loss.
The premium 990 model has more in the way of flexibility and fine tuning. In addition to advanced feedback suppression and advanced noise reduction, the 990 has better speech enhancement.
Both the 770 and 990 allow up to 4 individual programs for a variety of listening situations.
For clarification, the smartphone compatible devices connect directly to the iphone, but an accessory known as a mic clip is necessary for connection to Android devices.
