Similar to other insurance plans, Freedom Health works with a third-party company to offer this hearing aid benefit. Specifically, Freedom Health works with HearUSA. HearUSA offers all types of hearing aids, in all technology levels, from all of the major manufacturers! They include a 30-day trial period on all devices, so if you’re unhappy with your purchase, you can return or exchange the hearing aids. If there is any out-of-pocket cost associated with your hearing aids, it is paid directly to HearUSA.

With your purchase of hearing aids, HearUSA also includes all services to your hearing aids for the first year that you own them! Typically, insurance companies only provide assistance with the initial purchase of the hearing aids – not the follow up care. HearUSA realizes that this can be difficult for some patients, and ensures access to follow up care for all members who purchase hearing aids! Not only that, but for patients who don’t choose hearing aids that are rechargeable – HearUSA will mail a year’s supply of batteries to you after you rinitial trial period!
