I am Dr. Rachel Conter and recently joined the Gardner Audiology team. You will primarily see me, whether in person or remotely, in our Tampa and St. Petersburg offices. I am a native Floridian and graduated with my Doctor of Audiology from University of South Florida (USF). I began working at the age of sixteen for Gardner Audiology as front office support staff, eventually transitioning to an audiology assistant. This gave me an excellent opportunity to learn more about audiology, and discover my passion for helping people improve their hearing. During my time at USF, I gained valuable experiences in many aspects of audiology, from children and cochlear implants, to adults and working alongside Ear, Nose & Throat physicians. I also completed my doctoral project examining the relationship between hearing and cognition, which is an aspect of hearing healthcare I feel very strongly about. I am fortunate to be able to re-join the Gardner Audiology family, this time as an audiologist. I look forward to meeting and getting to know all our wonderful patients! Outside of work, I am married to a wonderful husband with two dogs. We enjoy spending time outside boating and fishing, as well as trying new restaurants!
