If you are aware that you have a benefit or discounted pricing for hearing aids through your insurance, you may be wondering what that entails and how you can use this coverage. At Gardner Audiology, we are here to help navigate you through that process. When you schedule an audiologic evaluation with us, our schedulers will ask for your insurance information so that we can verify your hearing aid coverage before you come in for your appointment. By choosing our practice, you are choosing providers who are in-network, preferred providers with over 50 insurance plans. By providing this information prior to your appointment, your provider will be able to give you the most accurate recommendation and pricing for your hearing aids when you come in.
Some insurance plans work with a 3rd party who facilitate your hearing aid coverage. Many patients are aware they have insurance coverage for hearing aids but are unaware that it goes through a separate company. When you come to Gardner Audiology, our providers are well versed with all the 3rd parties and can break each part of the process down for you, so you can leave your appointment feeling at ease with your hearing aid decision.
At times, patients will go to practices who work with their insurance and their hearing test is covered, but they do not work with the 3rd party that provides the hearing aid benefit or discounted pricing, and we hear directly from these patients that they are quoted outrageous out-of-pocket prices that could be reduced or even sometimes fully covered if they were able to go through the 3rd party, but sadly were not even given the option. If you have a discount or benefit through your insurance, we will use your insurance!
